We build the site, the agency runs the campaigns
We build websites. Search and paid campaigns are handled by an agency whose services we use for our own site too. If you are planning campaigns, we design the site together with them from the start.
Who does what
Where the line sits
We say plainly what we specialise in, and what we hand to specialists we trust.
Us, B&B Digital
- Design and build of the site, with copy that says what you want it to say
- Technical SEO: speed, heading structure, sitemap, structured data, language versions
- Wiring up analytics and the advertising pixel, if campaigns are going to run
- Landing pages for specific campaigns, if the agency asks for them
- Changes to the site while a campaign runs, within the agreed scope
The marketing agency
- Keyword research and search strategy
- Running Google Ads and social media campaigns
- Google Business Profile and local search
- Blog content planning and copy written for search
- Reporting on results and ad spend
You pay the agency directly. We add no commission and do not sit in the middle of the invoicing. If you would rather use your own agency, or you run campaigns yourself, we work exactly the same way.
How working together looks
Four steps. The order matters: the agency comes in before the site is finished, not after.
You mention you are thinking about campaigns
A line in the brief is enough. You need neither a decision nor a budget.
You meet them
We set up a joint call and help with the paperwork. The contract is between you and the agency.
We design it together
The page structure and copy are built around the chosen keywords, not alongside them.
Launch without rework
The campaign starts on a site that is already prepared for it. You do not pay twice for changes.
Why we hand this to specialists
We are software engineers. We can build a site that is fast, secure and legible to a search engine. Running campaigns is different work: watching bids daily, testing ad copy, studying competitors. Done in spare hours it turns out badly, and we do not want to charge for it and then explain the results.
So we handed it to people who do it full time. We are their client ourselves, which means we see the results from the inside rather than in a pitch deck.
The three questions we hear most
Will a site rank at all without campaigns?
What does it cost and who invoices me?
I already have an agency, how does that work?
Planning campaigns? Say so early
A joint call at the start costs half an hour and saves rebuilding the site a month later.
